Due to unprecedented demand the SME Energy Efficiency Scheme is now closed to new referrals and applications. Please click here to find more information on the wider support available.

The SME Energy Efficiency Scheme (SMEES) supports small and medium sized businesses in the Tees Valley to reduce energy use, cut carbon emissions and save money, with a fully funded energy efficiency audit and expert advice.  SMEES is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020.  The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government is the Managing Authority for European Regional Development Fund. Established by the European Union, the European Regional Development Fund helps local areas stimulate their economic development by investing in projects which will support innovation, businesses, create jobs and local community regenerations.

SMEES is delivered by technical specialists at Decerna, who are able to support SMEs with trading addresses within Darlington, Redcar & Cleveland, Hartlepool, Stockton-on-Tees and Middlesbrough.
