How does Tees Valley Business Start-Up work?

Initially, you will meet your allocated business adviser who will develop a package of support specifically for your own start-up needs.

This support is free of charge and includes a variety of workshops covering everything you need to start your own business. These could include topics such as:

• Company structure
• Business planning
• Sales and marketing
• Social media

There are many workshops you can attend throughout Tees Valley in Darlington, Hartlepool, Middlesbrough, Redcar & Cleveland and Stockton-on-Tees.

You may also qualify for support if you are:

• Looking to establish a high-growth business
• Aged 18-30
• Looking to establish a social enterprise
• Looking to start a business in one of these sectors: advanced manufacturing, automotive, chemical and process, digital, healthcare, logistics, low carbon or oil and gas

You may also qualify for the “Start-Up, Scale-Up” grant where you could access up to £10,000.
