Start-Up, Scale-Up programme

As with any new start up, there are lots of risks involved. Will the business be ready to open on time? Will we have enough customers? Will our marketing strategy work? Having a dedicated advisor on hand to work through these questions and practicalities with me was priceless.

The funding and support from Tees Valley Business enabled us to grow more quickly than we would otherwise have been able to. The team helped us to access grants we never even knew existed. This has been instrumental in supporting the funding of the start-up costs and helped to mitigate the risks involved in setting up any new business

Having this support from another person helps to ease the pressure, especially when you are dealing with all the different elements of starting a new business. My advisor was on hand to discuss and support with the development of each stage of my business plan, from financial planning to understanding our target audience. They were also able to sign-post to other organisations and highlight other funding streams which may be able to help.
